The creation of the first kindling opened a rift that has never closed: between those who would carry magic into the human realm, and those who would protect the veil, and the humans behind it. What began as a fringe group in the Parliament has grown into a powerful and vocal minority. These MPs are known simply as Blackthorn, after Blackthorn Hall, the closed-door social club where the bloc first convened, a haunt of old-guard Winter Court elites.

Blackthorn has been gaining ground in Faerie politics and Faerie society. Its rhetoric, once confined to corners and back rooms, is now spoken on the record, and the norms that once held it to a whisper are giving way.
